Colorado cracks list of top schools for coveted cornerback

The No. 1 cornerback in the class of 2026 named Colorado to his list of top schools

As his recruitment continues to heat up, highly-ranked class of 2026 cornerback Chauncey Kennon narrowed his list of top schools to 10 on Friday.

According to On3’s Hayes Fawcett, the Colorado Buffaloes were the lone Big 12 team that made the cut. The Georgia Bulldogs, Miami Hurricanes, Florida State Seminoles, Missouri Tigers, Florida Gators, Michigan Wolverines, Penn State Nittany Lions, Texas A&M Aggies and Ole Miss Rebels rounded out Kennon’s list.

Kennon, a 6-foot-2, 170-pound four-star prospect from Sarasota, Florida, is 247Sports’ top-ranked class of 2026 cornerback.

As a junior at Booker High School this past season, Kennon recorded 40 total tackles, 16 passed defended and two interceptions. He also had eight touchdowns on offense, per 247Sports.

Colorado head coach Deion Sanders has yet to land a class of 2026 commitment.
