College hoops teams are making their own versions of the ‘One Shining Moment’ video

Chills.

This week was supposed to be the opening rounds of the NCAA tournament, and Monday would have been a day of breaking down the brackets, debating the paths to Atlanta (i.e. Duke’s inevitably favorable path) and complaining about snubs.

But with the cancellation of the men’s and women’s NCAA tournaments in response to the global coronavirus pandemic, college basketball fans were left without March Madness … and “One Shining Moment.”

Last week, plenty of fans put together montages that were mostly of empty arenas.

Yet, in the absence of college basketball’s famed highlight montage, college basketball teams across the country have commemorated their 2019-20 season with unique takes on “One Shining Moment.” The resulting videos served as great send-offs to an unprecedented end to the college basketball season.

This was what some of those teams put together. (Note: Teams in the Top 25 that were not included did not make “One Shining Moment” videos)

Kansas

Baylor

Dayton

Not “One Shining Moment,” but still cool.

Illinois

Indiana

Utah State

Akron

Hofstra

Richmond

ETSU

Great effort all around from those teams. Next year’s One Shining Moment video will be a welcomed sight.
