College GameDay coming to Auburn vs. Texas A&M

Tigers are set to honor Dick Vitale for AUTLIVE Cancer game against the Aggies as College Gameday rolls into Auburn Arena.

College GameDay is making a return to Auburn Arena. The ESPN show will be in Auburn ahead of the Tigers’ Feb. 12 game against Texas A&M.

The game is also Auburn’s annual AUTLive Cancer game. Auburn will use the game to raise money for cancer research and families affected by it.

“It’s kind of what you go to work every day for,” Bruce Pearl said. “Hoping and dreaming that maybe on some Saturday afternoon in Auburn, Alabama – all eyes of the college basketball world will be upon us. That’s what happens when GameDay comes to town.

“It’s also a significant day because it’s our AUTLIVE Cancer game – Auburn Basketball’s fight against cancer. With ESPN being there, we’re thinking of Dick Vitale and his battle. We will recognize and honor Dick as he is outliving his battle with cancer.”

It is the second time Auburn will be hosting the show, the first was when they hosted Kentucky in 2020, the Tigers defeated Kentucky 75-66.

The show is hosted by Rece Davis and features Jay Bilas, LaPhonso Ellis, and Seth Greenberg. It will start at 10 a.m. and will lead directly into tipoff at 11 a.m. on ESPN.

“Jungle City will be up-and-running on Friday night,” Pearl said. “They are going to want to get into the game early. I’m praying for good weather.”
