The SEC has plans to move forward with the season, as indicated in a statement commissioner Greg Sankey issued on Tuesday.

Sankey said that he looks forward to “learning more about the factors” that caused the Big Ten and the Pac-12 to cancel, and that “we will continue to further refine our policies and protocols for a safe return to sports.”

LSU football is currently set to begin the season on Sept. 26 against the Ole Miss Rebels in Tiger Stadium.
