Alabama head coach Nick Saban found himself in an unusual position Monday night as for the first time in five years his team wasn’t playing in the national championship game.
Saban was in the Superdome before the game, however, working with ESPN’s pregame show which felt odd, since he’s so used to coaching in this game.
The Crimson Tide head coach broke down the keys for both LSU, a team that beat Alabama earlier this season, and Clemson, a team that beat Alabama in last year’s national title game.
The best part, however, came when Lee Corso made his headgear pick and Saban awkwardly sat there smiling as Corso donned the LSU Tiger headgear:
