College football fans absolutely torched No. 18 Oklahoma for getting rocked by unranked TCU

Oklahoma football had a BAD outing against TCU.

Unranked TCU absolutely wrecked No. 18 Oklahoma on Saturday, opening with a monster first half with 41 points against the Sooners before ultimately winning, 55-24.

It was ugly for the Sooners and beyond embarrassing for their defense, especially considering new head coach Brent Venables was Clemson’s defensive coordinator. Surely he was going to bring a tougher defense to Oklahoma, right?

Well, it’s been a rough season so far for the Sooners, who now have two losses already after falling to Kansas State in Week 4. But the Horned Frogs’ victory was particularly ugly for Oklahoma and felt like the living embodiment of the “Stop! He’s already dead!” meme.

TCU’s offense was on fire, finishing with 668 (!!) total yards, including 307 in the air in large part thanks to quarterback Max Duggan, who threw for 302 yards and three touchdowns, ran for 116 yards and adding two rushing scores.

It seemed like there was nothing Oklahoma could do to slow him and the Horned Frogs down, which is great news if you’re a TCU fan.

It’s worth noting that TCU offensive coordinator Garrett Riley is former Oklahoma coach Lincoln Riley’s brother, which makes his offense destroying the Sooners’ defense even funnier.

The Horned Frogs had a 41-17 lead at halftime with jaw-dropping stats that look like they should have been the final stats rather than after the first 30 minutes. And the second half wasn’t any better with TCU literally running all over the Sooners’ defense, putting up a total of 361 rushing yards compared with Oklahoma’s 179.

It was a terrible outing for Oklahoma, and its fans surely were not having fun. Other college football fans on the internet, however, thought TCU rocking the Sooners was pretty funny, and they had plenty of jokes.
