We all know who Notre Dame will play in the first two weeks of the 2020 college football season, but when those games kickoff is another story.
Duke will come to Notre Dame Stadium on September 12 while South Florida will take the field a week later. Now according to a report from 247Sports, we’re about to find out what time those games will kickoff.
From the 247Sports report:
Kickoff times and television information for more than 25 games involving Power 5 teams will be announced next week, an industry source tells 247Sports.
The first and second weeks of the ACC schedule will be finalized with kickoff times and television information next week, the source said. The Big 12’s slate of 10 non-conference games set for Sept. 12 will also be announced next week.
The Southeastern Conference does not begin the season until Sept. 26. Kickoff times for the SEC’s Week 1 games are expected to be announced in less than two weeks.
We do know that all Notre Dame home games will still air on NBC and with the level of opposition, I’d imagine you see Duke in the normal 3:30 p.m. ET time slot while I’d guess that USF’s trip gets the slightly earlier kickoff time of 2:30 p.m. ET.
As for the rest of the season, time will tell but I’d be pretty shocked if things don’t ultimately workout like they did last season with only one night game. That would obviously be the Clemson game on November 7, but if there were to be a second it’d be the Florida State game on October 10 as the Seminoles could also be unbeaten if they can get by Miami on September 26.
