Colin Cowherd says Broncos could win AFC West in 2020

Colin Cowherd thinks the Broncos could top the Chiefs in the AFC West this season.

Fox Sports pundit Colin Cowherd has jumped on the Broncos’ bandwagon this offseason. Cowherd believes quarterback Drew Lock is the real deal and he says the Broncos could be a surprise team this season.

“Denver, because of smart drafting, has two good running backs, three excellent young receivers and I believe a Pro Bowl-potential tight end and a defensive coach that keeps them in every game,” Cowherd said during a recent show on FS1.

Cowherd went on to say that he believes Lock will be the “pop guy” in the NFL this season, making a big jump in his first full season as a starter. Cowherd then made a huge prediction about the division.

“You know in the NFL, somebody’s going to win a division and we’re going to be shocked. Don’t be shocked in Denver beats Kansas City [to win the AFC West].”

Cowherd suggested that the Chiefs could win 11 games and finish second in the division behind a 12-win Broncos team. That’s quite a bold prediction, one that fans in Denver can get behind.
