After former UNC guard [autotag]Cole Anthony[/autotag] was seen working out with incoming five-star freshman Elliot Cadeau, and sophomore Seth Trimble, he appeared on the Carolina Insider podcast to deliver some praise.
“Elliot reminds me of myself when I was coming to Carolina. He just wants to move at 100 miles per hour.”Anthony said Thursday on the Carolina Insider podcast. “He is super, super skilled. He’s got all the skill in the world, but everything is just super, super fast. He’s like Sonic the Hedgehog. He’s super fast. He’s the fastest on the court, but he doesn’t need to show it at all times. He can play at different speeds and break the game down in a way where he might be even harder to guard. Seth is one heck of a defender. He might not look like it, but he was doing a good job as anyone I have seen. That kid is going to be all right.”
Cole continued to speak on what it meant to be back on campus for the scrimmages.
“It has been good to get here and really connect with some of the younger players,” Anthony said. “I know Elliot Cadeau and RJ Davis, both dudes are from my area. I’ve been playing with RJ since I was a kid, so it’s been good to get in with him. Working with Elliot and Seth Trimble has been dope, connecting with the guards. The runs have been fun.”
Anthony will be entering his fourth season in the NBA after going 15th overall in the 2020 NBA draft. Anthony has averaged 14.2 points, five rebounds, and 4.6 assists in his first three seasons. Seeing the Tar Heel back on campus working with the next stars of UNC basketball should serve as a significant boost heading into the upcoming season.
