Coby White shows leadership with Zach LaVine in Bulls win over Raptors

Coby White recently spoke about taking charge from Zach LaVine and the team during the Chicago Bulls’ win over the Toronto Raptors.

The Chicago Bulls are 3-5 on the season. However, they were very close to being 2-6, as their win over the Toronto Raptors on October 27 was all but lost until the beginning of the fourth quarter. After leading by 19 in the second and being down by 17 in the third, the Bulls pulled it all the way back to force overtime against the Raptors.

Dennis Schroder, who has been having a solid season in Toronto, was more or less clamped by the Bulls, and toward the end of the game, Coby White took it upon himself to guard the German point guard and help lead Chicago to victory.

During a recent chat with Joe Cowley of the Chicago Sun-Times, White revealed that Zach LaVine was put on Schroder originally, but he somewhat forcibly took the matchup for himself, noting that “I just wanted Schroder.”
