Coach Prime says Shedeur Sanders and Travis Hunter will play in Colorado’s bowl game

Coach Prime was asked if Shedeur Sanders and Travis Hunter will play in Colorado’s postseason bowl game

Hoping to avoid injury ahead of the NFL draft process, it has become commonplace for star college football players to opt out of bowl games.

Unless Colorado pulls off a miracle and wins the Big 12 Conference, quarterback Shedeur Sanders and cornerback/wide receiver Travis Hunter are headed to a non-College Football Playoff bowl game. However, Colorado’s pair of projected first-round picks are expected to boot the opt-out trend,  according to head coach Deion Sanders.

Ahead of the Buffs’ regular season finale against Oklahoma State, Coach Prime was asked if Friday would mark Shedeur and Hunter’s final game in a CU uniform.

“No, it’s not the last time you’re gonna see them (Shedeur and Hunter) in a Buff uniform,” Coach Prime said. “These two and the rest of the seniors have done a wonderful job of getting us to where we are and instilling so much expectation in our fan base and expectation in ourselves. We’re gonna fight and try to go out there and kick some butt and end this thing on the right note. And we’re gonna go to a bowl game and end this thing on the right note because our fans deserve the absolute best.”
