The Wisconsin Badgers men’s basketball team took down Purdue, 76-75, in overtime in the semifinals of the Big Ten tournament Saturday. Head coach Greg Gard’s postgame speech went viral after the contest, which prompted a shoutout by none other than Colorado football head football coach Deion Sanders.
In the victory, Wisconsin was called for 28 fouls compared to Purdue’s 17, leading to the Boilermakers attempting 32 free throws. This led to Wisconsin big men Steven Crowl, Tyler Wahl and Nolan Winter fouling out.
