Coach Doc Rivers lays out his goals for Sixers over the final 7 games

Coach Doc Rivers lays out his goals for the Philadelphia 76ers over the final seven games of the season.

PHILADELPHIA — As the Philadelphia 76ers move on from their loss to the Milwaukee Bucks on Tuesday at home, they have seven games left in the regular season.

Their previous two losses have had a familiar feeling. The Sixers took on the two teams that made the NBA finals in 2021. They hung with both of them, but, in the end, chemistry prevailed and that is something that coach Doc Rivers is trying to nail down before the playoffs begin.

“There’s not one thing; there really isn’t,” said Rivers. “Just better play, better continuity; we haven’t been together long. I’ll give you an example. I thought the Phoenix game down the stretch, you could just tell the difference. They knew where everybody was at, they executed well, we had two turnovers, we missed up an ATO, so those are the things we just have to get better.”

Both the Suns and the Bucks have been together for a while ,and they understand where each other is going to be on both offense and defense. That helps them in the long run. The Sixers are not on that level yet, and that is going to be a potential issue in the playoffs.

With seven games left, they have to do a lot in order to get the job done when it matters most.

“Get on the same page and as I said, everybody wants to,” Rivers added. “When you start with that, you got a great chance of getting it done.”
