Clyde Edwards-Helaire winning on and off the field as he pursues nursing degree

Clyde Edwards-Helaire is chasing both another Super Bowl ring and a nursing degree.

Former LSU running back [autotag]Clyde Edwards-Helaire[/autotag] is currently chasing another Super Bowl ring with the Kansas City Chiefs. The Chiefs defeated Josh Allen and the Bills in Buffalo 27-24 on Sunday night to advance to the AFC Championship Game.

While that is going on, there is another thing Edwards-Helaire is focusing on. Clyde has revealed that he is working towards a nursing degree off the field. Some things are bigger than football and this would classify as bigger than football. Edwards-Helaire knows that one day his football career will end and he is trying to prepare for life after football.

“It’s kind of enjoyable because it kind of feels like college,” Edwards-Helaire said, per On3. “It’s one of those things where there’s nothing to really do out here. It’s always snowing, so I’m not doing anything else but leaving work and then going to school stuff.

“Shout out to my fiancé. She kind of helping me with the scheduling ordeal and all that’s been a headache. In the future, if any of y’all need some shots or IVs or anything, holler at your boy.”

What an admirable thing for Edwards-Helaire to do. Hopefully, he will be able to save lives someday after his football career is over.
