The UCLA women’s softball team is on a roll. After starting the season #10 in the country, the #14 Bruins boast a 19-8 record on the season, riding a two-game winning streak.
The Bruins kept it going last night, as sophomore infielder Ramsey Suarez gave the Bruins a much-needed jolt. In the sixth inning, with the score tied against the #24 Oregon Ducks, Suarez’s pinch-hit to deep left field single drove in two runs to give the Bruins a 5-3 lead. It was a lead the Bruins would hold on to until the end.
Suarez drove in two of her six runs on the season and established herself as a clutch option coming out of the dugout for the Bruins.

At 5-2 in Pac-12 play, the Bruins continue to take care of business in a conference loaded with top-25 teams. If the Bruins can continue to win against Pac-12 foes, they should have no problem taking on the field and making a deep run in the Women’s College World Series.
