Riding a win on opening night over LeBron James and the new-look Los Angeles Lakers, the Golden State Warriors will open the door of Chase Center for the first time on Thursday night against the Los Angeles Clippers.
While Steph Curry led the Warriors in scoring with 21 points on Tuesday against the Lakers, the Most Valuable Player candidate had an off night from the floor, shooting just 5-of-21. While Curry struggled to find the bottom of the net, Jordan Poole and Nemanja Bjelica led the Warriors to a comeback win over the Lakers.
On Thursday at home, Curry will have the opportunity to get right against the Clippers.
Familiar faces Paul George and Reggie Jackson will line up across from the Warriors on Thursday. Yet, they will be without star forward Kawhi Leonard as he recovers from an ACL injury.
