Clippers vs. Lakers preseason: How To Watch, TV channel, start time

The Los Angeles Clippers will play as the visitors against the Los Angeles Lakers in the preseason opener on Friday night.

NBA basketball, at least in exhibition form, is finally back and the Staples Center will be host to an NBA game for the first time since March 10. The Lakers will be without LeBron James and Anthony Davis, as both players are expected to sit out of the first preseason game of the season, but Friday’s exhibition will also be a prelude to the opening night matchup between these two teams on Dec. 22 when the Lakers are going to receive their championship rings.

The Clippers made some major moves this offseason, adding Serge Ibaka in free agency and also agreeing to a five-year contract extension with Paul George. It remains to be seen what the Clippers will do with their star players in Friday’s preseason game but there has been plenty to talk about with both sides, especially ever since Montrezl Harrell crossed the hallway to join the Lakers.
