On Monday, the Los Angeles Clippers signed guard Jay Scrubb, the 55th overall pick in the NBA draft, to a two-way contract, according to the official NBA player transactions page.

Scrubb, the 2020 National Junior College Athletic Association Player of the Year, averaged 21.9 points, 6.8 rebounds and 2.7 assists in 29 games played last season at John A. Logan College in Illinois. He initially opted to transfer to Louisville next season but instead entered the NBA draft.

The 6-foot-6 sophomore started to appear on the NBA radar following his play last season given his scoring ability and athleticism. He boasts a 6-foot-10 wingspan and the potential to guard multiple positions as a result of his frame and ability.

Scrubb will spend the majority of the 2020-21 season in the NBA G League with the Agua Caliente Clippers as part of his two-way contract. However, with some doubt surrounding the G League season due to the coronavirus pandemic, that is subject to change.
