As the Los Angeles Lakers look to pick up another unexpected victory as the visiting team on Sunday afternoon against the Los Angeles Clippers, they will also get the Clippers debut of former Lakers guard Rajon Rondo. Rondo was a key part of the Lakers 2020 Championship run and was acquired by the Clippers at the trade deadline in exchange for Lou Williams.
Clippers coach Ty Lue told reporters on Sunday that the veteran guard would start his Clippers career coming off the bench against his former squad. Rondo had missed his first couple of games with the Clippers due to a right adductor strain.

Lue also told reporters that he doesn’t expect Rondo to be at full speed for a couple of weeks.
Clippers coach Ty Lue expects it will "take two to three weeks" for Rajon Rondo to get fully acclimated to shed rust/catch up on conditioning & get familiar with team. But Ty sees Rondo as having a heavy leg up with familiarity with playbook & talent

The Lakers have won three of their last four games, even without LeBron James and Anthony Davis. A win tonight against the Clippers would qualify as a win of the year for the Lakers if they’re able to pull it off.
