Days ago on social media, LeBron James vowed to not miss the playoffs ever again in his career, posting on Twitter that missing the postseason this year hurt.
This is the fourth time James has failed to appear in the playoffs, and there is no doubt his critics and haters will continue to use it as ammunition to refuse to give him his due.
Clipper Darrell (Bailey), a superfan of the Los Angeles Clippers and perhaps the team’s most famous supporter, fired back at the four-time MVP.
Via Lakers Daily:
“James vowed that he won’t miss the playoffs again in his NBA career, but Clipper Darrell claims that James is “too old” to make a promise like that in his career.”
Can Yall Please Tell @KingJames He is TOO OLD to be making any PROMISES or GUARANTEES 4 the Future!!! #LETSGO #FANTRUTH #CLIPPERDARRELLCARES #FROMAFANSPOINTOFVIEW pic.twitter.com/KONrhXYGry

Some Lakers fans may claim there is some hypocrisy coming from Clipper Darrell, as his team also missed the playoffs after losing both games of the play-in tournament.
Truth be told, many expect the Clippers to return to title contention next season. The team is supposed to have Kawhi Leonard back from last year’s knee injury. But the questions surrounding Leonard’s long-term health and load management will likely persist for years.
The Lakers could also be an elite team next year, depending on the moves they make this summer. There is always a chance that a potential Russell Westbrook trade will yield enough talent in return to close the gap between the Purple and Gold and the title contenders around the league.
