Cavaliers at Timberwolves: Odds, lines, predictions and picks
Prediction
Cavaliers 109, Timberwolves 101
Money line (ML)
The CAVALIERS (-160) aren’t terribly expensive if you don’t want to worry about the spread. Yes, they’re coming off an ugly 102-81 loss in New York. But the Timberwolves (+135) were also throttled in their most recent outing, and on their home floor, too. Minnesota was drummed 118-94 against Philadelphia on Friday.
Against the spread (ATS)
The CAVALIERS -3.5 (-110) failed to cover against the Knicks. In fact, it wasn’t even close. But they’re still a respectable 5-2 ATS across the past seven outings. The Timberwolves +3.5 (-110) enter on a three-game non-cover streak, and Minnesota is just 2-6 ATS across the past eight outings. Back the visitors.
Over/Under (O/U)
The UNDER 219.5 (-110) is the play in Saturday’s battle. While Minnesota has hit the Over in three of the past four, and they have allowed 110 or more points in four straight, look to the Under.
The T’Wolves score just 106.6 PPG to rank 26th in the NBA, while the Cavs rank just 29th in the league with 104.2 PPG. Defensively, Cleveland is a respectable seventh, posting 108.6 PPG in points allowed.
