Cavaliers at Warriors picks and predictions

Prediction

Cavaliers 117, Warriors 113

Moneyline

The Cavaliers are 4-3 on the road this season and have lost 2 straight; the Warriors are 4-1 at home.

The problem for Golden State has been defense as it’s 120.6 points allowed per game is the 2nd most in the league.

The game features two premier guards in Curry and Mitchell, who both are averaging more than 30 points a game and should provide a nice show Friday.

With the Warriors having lost 5 of their last 6 and the Cavs playing very well to start the season, it is hard to see them losing a 3rd consecutive game.

In an underdog role, you get nice positive odds. BET CAVALIERS (+105).

Against the spread

The Cavs’ ATS record matches their 8-3 straight-up record. The Warriors are 3-8 ATS, one game worse than their win-loss record.

Both teams can score, as the Warriors average 117.3 per game and the Cavs aren’t far behind at 116.6. But Cleveland holds its opponents to 107.4 per game, 8th in the league.

Since I like the Cavs to win the game outright and the spread is only 1.5 points, it is a better play to stick with the moneyline and get positive odds. The only way they could cover the spread and lose is in a 1-point loss.

PASS on the spread.

Over/Under

Both teams average more than 116 points a game. But only 2 of the Cavs’ wins have had more than 228 total points.

However, 9 of the Warriors’ 11 games this season have had 229 or more points.

BET OVER 228.5 (-112).
