Cavaliers at Celtics picks and predictions

Prediction

Celtics 121, Cavaliers 117

Moneyline

This game feels a lot like the Kansas City Chiefs and Buffalo Bills game from last weekend. The Chiefs had not lost since Christmas Day, and the Chiefs had a lot of fluky wins, and they went to Buffalo and got beat.

That’s what I feel is about to take place here, but the books clearly agree with the champs at -225.

Instead, I’m going with JAYSON TATUM OVER 6.5 ASSISTS (+110). He has been facilitating the offense of late with 9, 10 and 8 assists in his last 3 games.

Against the spread

I like the Cavs’ side here. They’re 11-4 ATS this year, and the Celtics are 7-7. Cleveland covered 2 of the 3 regular season meetings last year. If this were a 2.5-3.5-point spread, I’d consider Boston.

But I’m going CAVALIERS +5.5 (-110).

Over/Under

Each team has cashed 3 straight Overs. Boston has gone for 116+ in 3 straight games. Cleveland has gone for 114+ in 4 straight. I look for a fast-paced game where one team may gain separation, but the gap will be closed late.

Take the OVER 234.5 (-105).
