Dabo Swinney and the Clemson Tigers need a huge win in the ACC Championship over SMU, and they got the exact start they needed.
On SMU’s first offensive drive of the game, Clemson star defensive end T.J. Parker made his presence known with a huge play. On 2nd and 7 on their own 41, SMU quarterback dropped back to pass with Parker breaking through and recording a strip sack with the Tigers recovering.
The following Clemson drive resulted in some impromptu magic from Clemson starting quarterback Cade Klubnik. The play looked like a designed run, where Klubnik saw freshman wide receiver Bryant Wesco downfield. Klubnik made an awesome adjustment, finding Wesco for a 35-yard touchdown.
It has been a picture-perfect start for the Tigers.
