Clemson stays at No. 10 in new top 25 baseball polls

Clemson remained at No. 10 in the new Baseball America Top 25 Poll released Monday.

Clemson remained at No. 10 in the new Baseball America Top 25 rankings released Monday, as well as in D1Baseball’s Top 25.

The Tigers are 9-1 overall and won all three games they played last week, including two against rival South Carolina over the weekend between Columbia’s Segra Park and Doug Kingsmore Stadium.

The top four in Baseball America’s poll remained the same with Wake Forest (10-1) at No. 1 and defending national champion LSU (11-1) at No. 2. Arkansas (9-2) stayed at No. 3 and Oregon State (11-1) remained at No. 4.

TCU (12-0) moved up one spot to round out the top five. Florida (8-3), which finished as the runner up in last year’s College World Series, fell one spot out of the top five to land at No. 6. Tennessee, Virginia, Vanderbilt and Clemson rounded out the top 10 in Baseball America’s new poll.

In D1Baseball’s poll, Arkansas has been ranked No. 2 behind Wake Forest while LSU is at No. 3. Florida and TCU round our D1Baseball’s top five.

Clemson was ranked No. 11 in the most recent USA TODAY Sports baseball coaches poll, released Monday, February 26.

Clemson will host Kansas state in midweek action Wednesday. First pitch is scheduled for 4 p.m. (EST) at Doug Kingsmore Stadium.

The Tigers will then play host to UNC Greensboro in weekend series play starting Friday. All four games this coming week will be broadcast on ACC Network Extra (ACCNX).
