Dabo Swinney and the Clemson football program will be without a key member of their wide receiver room for the second straight week.
Star freshman wide receiver Bryant Wesco will not suit up against Tony Elliott and the Virginia Cavaliers in Week 8. As mentioned, it’s the second straight game the Tigers will be without the big-play wide receiver.
Wesco has shown that he’s a future star in his freshman season, with 11 catches totaling 262 yards and two touchdowns so far. Known for his big-play potential, he averages nearly 24 yards per reception. His performance before the injury included four catches for 24 yards against Florida State.
Clemson will have to wait two more weeks to see if Wesco can get back on the field after the Tigers Week 9 bye.
