Dabo Swinney and the Clemson football team have had an underwhelming start to their 2023 season.
In Week 1, the Tigers endured a brutal 28-7 loss to Duke in a game that could very well define the season. Week 2 against Charleston Southern Clemson started slowly, but the second half was all Tigers. They won 66-7.
The first two weeks have definitely been interesting. With that, fans and analysts have varying opinions on how good this team is and what the rest of the season could look like. Heading into Week 3, they are No. 22 in the Coaches Poll and out of the AP Top 25.
The latest to release a version of rankings was USA TODAY Sports, which dropped its college football 1-133 re-rank after Week 2. In this re-rank, Clemson remains No. 25. They may stay put until their Week 4 matchup with Florida State, which ranks No. 3 in the re-rank. The other ACC teams that landed in the top 25 are No. 20 North Carolina and No. 22 Duke.
Swinney’s team has a high ceiling and has a week to get its game together before Week 4. If the Tigers can pull out the upset, the ACC is going to be VERY wild.
One week at a time, though; Florida Atlantic comes first.
