Dabo Swinney and the Clemson football team are coming off a Week 7 bye that couldn’t have come at the right time after the Tigers squeaked by Wake Forest in their 17-12 Week 6 win.
Throughout the season, Clemson has been all over the USA TODAY Sports College Football 1-133 re-rank, but recently, the Tigers have been consistently moving back up the rankings. Though we didn’t see the Tigers in action in Week 7, they still moved four spots up this 1-133 re-rank to No.26 in the country. They are just one spot outside the top 25.
I’ve been saying weekly that Clemson is a top-25 team, and we now see them a spot outside of it. Even if it is a re-rank and not the Coaches Poll or AP Poll, it is great to see them getting recognition. Even after a rough performance, this team has the talent to take on most teams nationwide.
Clemson has a Week 8 matchup on the road against Miami that, with a win, could further vault them up multiple different rankings.
