Clemson men’s basketball picks up a legacy commitment from guard Ace Buckner

Brad Brownell and Clemson basketball are returning a familiar name back to the program.

Three-star 2024 guard Ace Buckner, son of former Clemson star Greg Buckner, announced via Twitter/X on Friday that he has committed to Clemson. A huge commitment for the Tigers, Brownell lands a legacy commitment who is one of the top players in the country.

According to 247Sports compositing rankings, Buckner is the No.21 combo guard and the No.172 overall player in the 2024 class. Buckner joins fellow three-star recruit power forward Dallas Thomas as the second commit in the Tigers 2024 class.

Brownell and his staff are doing a solid job recruiting in this class, with Buckner and Thomas ranking as top 200 recruits.
