Clemson makes the Top 10 for guard Omari Witherspoon

Clemson basketball has made a splash in the recruiting scene, landing in the top 10 for Omari Witherspoon, a promising guard from St. John’s in Washington, D.C. Witherspoon announced his list of top schools on Monday via social media, and the Tigers were among the finalists.

Alongside Clemson, the talented 6-foot-6 guard is considering offers from Butler, George Mason, Maryland, Oklahoma State, Pittsburgh, Vanderbilt, Virginia Tech, West Virginia, and Xavier. Clemson offered Witherspoon just last Tuesday, joining a competitive field vying for his commitment.

Witherspoon, currently ranked as the No. 30 combo guard in the 2025 class by 247Sports, has been turning heads this summer. Playing for D.C. Premier in travel ball, he has seen his stock rise significantly, making him a sought-after prospect in the upcoming class.
