The Fighting Irish took down Syracuse Saturday (a week after the Orange fell to Clemson). Notre Dame easily covered a 1.5-point spread in a 41-24 triumph that saw the Irish held an opposing offense under 300 total yards (286) for a 2nd straight week and a 3rd time in 4 weeks. Against the spread
The Notre Dame run defense may be a bit overrated when looking at analytic measures. Clemson has the ground game to take advantage of this deficit.
And look for the Tigers to finish on the plus side of the field and have the havoc-causing defense to produce a short field or two.
The lean, however, is small. Consider a partial-unit play on CLEMSON -3.5 (-110).
Over/Under
Both Clemson and Notre Dame figure as perhaps a bit too far over their skis in 3rd-down defense. The Irish have been awful in red-zone defense, allowing 20 TDs in as many trips.
