C.J. Stroud, Will Anderson take inventory of Texans’ young roster

New Houston Texans QB C.J. Stroud and DE Will Anderson were excited thinking about some of the young players already on the roster.

C.J. Stroud and Will Anderson are excited to join the Houston Texans.

The No. 2 overall quarterback and the No. 3 overall defensive end were recorded walking down a corridor — either Union Station in Kansas City or Kansas City International Airport — talking about the young talent already on the team.

“When I went to Houston, bro, I loved it, bro,” Anderson said.

“Yeah, facts,” Stroud replied.

“Then I got my boy Metch [John Metchie],” Anderson said. “Christian Harris down there. Sting [Derek Stingley].”

“Yeah, we like that,” said Stroud. “Yeah, we like that.”

Metchie played receiver at Alabama and came out in the same class last year as Harris, who played linebacker at Alabama. Stingley was also in the SEC West playing cornerback for LSU, Alabama’s rival.

The Texans have players on the roster that their top picks in the draft believe they can work with.
