Cincinnati Bengals legend Ken Riley elected to Pro Football Hall of Fame

A legend has become the second Bengals player elected to the Hall of Fame.

Cincinnati Bengals legend Ken Riley is the second member of the franchise to be elected to the Pro Football Hall of Fame.

The honor was announced Thursday night by Anthony Munoz, the only other Bengals player in the Hall.

Riley was one of three senior finalist candidates alongside Chuck Howley and Joe Klecko. He was a First-Team All-Pro in 1983 and sits fifth all-time with 65 interceptions. He was also a fast addition to the new Bengals Ring of Honor.

“It’s bittersweet,” Ken Riley II told Geoff Hobson of Bengals.com. “Just relief. And disbelief because it’s been over 30 years for this to finally happen. It’s like, ‘Wow.'”

Willie Anderson, a finalist for the second straight year, didn’t get the nod to Canton.
