The Cincinnati Bengals added to the offensive line Thursday, claiming center Lamont Gaillard off waivers.
Gaillard, a third-year player, was originally a sixth-round pick by the Arizona Cardinals in 2019. He made 13 appearances over his first two seasons.
It isn’t a shocker to see the Bengals go after more depth for the interior of the offensive line before training camp with starting center Trey Hopkins still working his way back from a season-ending injury.
If Gaillard shows well in camp, he could always have a fringe shot at making the final roster. This isn’t a big-name move by any means, but it tells onlookers how the team feels about both Gaillard and the team’s depth.
We've claimed C Lamont Gaillard on waivers from Arizona.
