Fourth-round draft pick Chuba Hubbard agreed to contract terms with the Carolina Panthers, the team announced on Thursday.
The Panthers selected the former Oklahoma State star with the No. 126 overall pick in this year’s NFL draft. The 6-foot, 210-pound running back is the first selection in this year’s draft to agree to terms, according to Panthers.com.
In three seasons at Oklahoma State, Hubbard rushed for 3,459 yards and 33 touchdowns, averaging 5.9 yards per carry. He also registered 53 receptions for 479 yards and three touchdown catches.
Hubbard also has experience as a kick returner, with 552 yards on 25 attempts as a collegian.
Hubbard projects to be the replacement for Mike Davis as the Panthers’ second-string tailback behind All-Pro starter Christian McCaffrey.
