Christian McCaffrey says he’s sick of not playing in January, February

The Carolina Panthers haven’t made the playoffs since 2017, which was star running back Christian McCaffrey’s rookie season.

If you’re a football fan, odds are you’ll be watching the Super Bowl on Sunday whether your favorite team is playing in it or not. While pretty much everyone loves watching the big game, it’s understandably more difficult for hyper-competive professional athletes who did not make it to the postseason.

For example, the Carolina Panthers haven’t made the playoffs since 2017, which was star running back Christian McCaffrey’s rookie season. McCaffrey says he’s sick of not playing in January and February.

That 2017 Carolina team had a pretty decent starting quarterback if we remember correctly. He almost single-handedly carried them to a Wild-Card win against a far-superior Saints team.

Getting back to the playoffs will most likely require an upgrade at that position. The Panthers are trying, at least. They are expected to be as aggressive as any NFL team this offseason in making a move for a new potential franchise QB.
