The Minnesota Vikings struck gold when they selected Christian Darrisaw with the 23rd overall pick in the 2021 NFL draft. Not only did they get an elite left tackle, but they also got two third-round picks for doing so.
When they selected Darrisaw, the Vikings were hoping to get their left tackle of the future. Not only did they get that, but they also got a superstar.

During the preseason, there were some analysts that compared Darrisaw to All-Pro left tackle Trent Williams. That seemed a bit preposterous at the time, but Darrisaw has lived up to those high standards.

His play this year has been nothing short of superb and the PFF grades reflect that. Per PFF, his ranks among tackles are excellent.
- 9th in pass blocking-84.3
- 5th in run blocking-83.8
- 2nd overall-89.1
Along with those great stats, Darrisaw hasn’t allowed a sack in 12 consecutive games and only 10 pressures on the season.
The Vikings have an emerging superstar on their hands in Darrisaw.
