Chris Paul is coveting time with family while NBA season suspended

Chris Paul is having quality family time while the NBA season is suspended.

The COVID-19 pandemic has produced tough times for many, but at the same time it’s also helped people see more of the positives in life.

Oklahoma City Thunder guard Chris Paul has had that different perspective. Per USA TODAY’s Mark Medina, Paul has been enjoying the time he gets to spend with his family while the NBA is on hiatus. Paul and his family have a home in Encino, California, and he’s been helping his children, Chris and Camryn, with their homework as well as including them in his workouts.

“This is the most we’ve all been able to be together,” Paul said. “That’s the case for a lot of families at home. It’s one of those things where you learn new things and learn not to take some things for granted.”

On the night the NBA season was suspended, Paul was on the floor at Chesapeake Energy Arena. Once he heard the season was suspended, all he could think about was his family.

“My first instinct was to get back to my family,”  Everyone thinks about the game and what happened that night. But my first instinct was to get back to my family, to my wife and kids.”

Along with helping his kids with homework, Paul also had his son, Chris, by his side during his HORSE competition against Chicago Sky guard Allie Quigley.

With Paul having quality family time, that’s a note of positivity that could help him and others make it through a difficult time.
