Chris Paul gave Luguentz Dort high praise after a career night

The undrafted rookie left teammate Chris Paul impressed after scoring a career-high 10 points on Saturday night.

Oklahoma City Thunder forward Luguentz Dort scored a career-high 10 points Saturday night during a 113-104 win over the Minnesota Timberwolves for their ninth win over their last 10 games on the road.

The two-way rookie finished by shooting 3-of-5 from the field, including 2-of-4 from 3-point range, in his fourth start of the season. Dort also added two rebounds, two steals and one assist in 30 minutes of work.

Dort has been primarily in the G League this season with the OKC Blue but has been with the Thunder over their last five games. He is averaging 7.2 points over that stretch.

While Dort is a rookie, after all, teammate Chris Paul isn’t buying it.

“Lu Dort, you can’t tell me that he’s a rookie,” Paul said.

Dort has played well for the Thunder in each of his stints with the team and continues to be a bright spot for the team. The former Arizona State product was believed to be a second-round pick but many believe he has been steal after going undrafted in June.

The Thunder return to action on Monday vs. the Dallas Mavericks.
