After competing in over 90 races behind the wheel of LMP1 and LMP2 machinery at Le Mans and in both the American and Asian Le Mans Series, driver Chris McMurry had hung up his helmet. Or so he thought.
“I thought I was done racing years ago,” he says. “Then I sampled a Radical at Apex Motor Club in Phoenix in 2020, and that’s all it took. We race locally each month and after a few years of that and entering a few Radical North America Cup races, it seemed time to make a run for the championship.”
The return to racing a Radical has further prompted McMurry to get back behind the wheel of an LMP2 car, sharing a victory with Freddie Tomlinson and Toby Sowery at the recent 4 Hours of Abu Dhabi.
“A Radical Journey” will take us behind the scenes of the 2024 Radical Cup North America with McMurry as our host. The series will comprise a number of short episodes that introduce the Radical Cup and some of the people involved while also breaking down some of the mystique of going racing in a Radical or otherwise.
