Twitter was up in arms on Sunday after the Los Angeles Rams’ new logo apparently leaked on a to-be-released draft hat. It goes away from the classic ram head in favor of the letters L.A. with a swooping horn going around it.
Described as so, it doesn’t sound terrible, but upon seeing it, it’s easy to see why fans are panicking about their team wearing that logo – especially because it can easily be mistaken for a Chargers symbol.
After Charles Robinson of Yahoo! Sports confirmed that it is indeed the team’s new logo, former Rams defensive end Chris Long chimed in. And not surprisingly, he absolutely ripped the design and those who approved it.
I used to feel like jack youngblood when we put on the yellow and royal blue. This logo would make me feel like I’m playing AA ball.

This leaked logo hasn’t divided the fanbase. Rams supporters aren’t split on their feelings about it. Instead, it’s unified everyone with a mutual disgust towards it – which is a huge problem for the franchise.
Some fans have said they won’t buy merchandise with the logo on it, while others have said they’ll only purchase throwback jerseys and apparel with the classic ram head logo.
If this is indeed the Rams’ primary logo set to be revealed before the draft, the organization will have a lot of explaining to do.
