The Broncos have agreed to trade a fourth-round draft pick to the Jaguars in exchange for cornerback A.J. Bouye. The trade won’t become official until March 18 but that hasn’t stopped fans and pundits from sharing their thoughts on the trade on Twitter.
Even cornerback Chris Harris — who Bouye might be replacing — weighed in on social media, tweeting a congratulations message to Bouye.
congrats lil bro @AJBOUYE21 wish you the best . https://t.co/bwN8npeP5O

By acquiring Bouye, Denver now appears much less likely to re-sign Harris, though that still remains a possibility. The Broncos still want “to be in the mix” when Harris begins negotiating with teams, according to Brandon Krisztal of KOA 850 AM & 94.1 FM.
Let me phrase this another way, I reached out to sources I trust, and more than one told me The Broncos aren’t done with Chris Harris, just because they made this trade. The market may change that, but it’s not a certainty he’s gone. #BroncosCountry @KOAColorado

If the Broncos are able to land Bouye and re-sign Harris, the team’s secondary will greatly improve from last season — especially if Bryce Callahan returns to full health and plays in 2020.
For now, though, we can only assume Harris is less likely to return than he was before the Bouye trade.
