Pete Carroll and the Seattle Seahawks had been longing for the return of starting running back Chris Carson, who had been out for over a month while he recovered from a lingering foot injury.
Carson made his return in Week 12 against the Eagles and his first outing was a success.
“His style of play, we just love it so much,” Carroll said during his Tuesday interview on 710 ESPN Seattle. “He just looked terrific and I’m hoping he comes out of the game feeling alright and he didn’t get banged up much and can keep doing it next week.”
While Carlos Hyde did have considerably more snaps and carries (15) in Philadelphia, Carson did finish the night with a respectable eight touches and more rushing yards at 41. Carson also managed a touchdown in the first half.
“Carlos played good too, but it was really Chris had the bigger plays on this night,” Carroll continued. “That touchdown run was really just a fantastic play.”
