The NFLPA has announced its Rookie Premiere Class of 2022 and one player from the Kansas City Chiefs has been named a member of the latest class.
The team’s second-round draft pick, Skyy Moore, was the lone Chiefs player selected among the 42 new rookie premiere members. He follows Cornell Powell (2021), Clyde Edwards-Helaire (2020) and Mecole Hardman (2019), who were all previous selections by the NFLPA.
This event serves as a jumping-off point for rookies to learn about marketing, endorsements and managing their brands. The players selected for the Rookie Premiere Class of 2022 will get an opportunity to work together with a number of NFL brand partners, including Fanatics and Panini America. Fanatics will host a jersey reveal, while Panini America will collaborate with rookies on a trading card photo shoot in official team uniforms.

According to the NFLPA, players are chosen based on things like position, draft status, college performance and projected marketability. Generally speaking, offensive players tend to get preference here, which is why you won’t find either Trent McDuffie or George Karlaftis attending. In fact, only four of the 42 players selected this year play defense. Moore’s selection shouldn’t come as much of a surprise given that he’s a receiver in the Chiefs’ offense with the team trading away star WR Tyreek Hill this offseason.
Along with Panini America and Fanatics, Moore and other rookies will get a chance to work with Dapper Labs, EA Sports, and StatusPro.
