The growth of Skyy Moore is an essential part of the Kansas City Chiefs’ immediate future at wide receiver. Moore showed flashes of brilliance late last year, including in the team’s postseason run.
Moore continues to provide highlight reel moments in training camp, working with the first-team offense. He has earned praise from cornerback Trent McDuffie and the members of the coaching staff. the second-year pass catcher spoke to reporters after Wednesday’s practice about his development and growing chemistry with Patrick Mahomes.
“Now I know. Like, ‘Oh, this is what he was talking about’, there’s been a couple of plays where it was the exact same look as last year, but I just treated it differently, and last year might have been an incomplete pass,” Moore explained. “This year I catch it and can go for some more yards. I can’t tell you specifically, but like adjusting around, yeah, like adjusting it’s always adjusting around that’s the biggest part of this offense is adjusting your routes to the look, so it’s definitely been plenty.”
Moore expects to be a vital part of the Chiefs’ offense this season, especially with Kadarius Toney recovering from injury. He has matured in recognizing his mistakes as a rookie and appears ready to take the next step in his career.
