The busy offseason for members of the Kansas City Chiefs Super Bowl LVII rolls on with more public appearances. The latest player making moves is wide receiver Marquez Valdes-Scantling with a special event in Kansas.
The Chiefs wide receiver made an immediate impact in his first season in Kansas City, combining with league MVP Patrick Mahomes so memorable moment in the Super Bowl-winning campaign. Now he’s set to host a special autograph session for fans at a Wichita Sky Kings semipro basketball game. In a video tweeted out by Valdes-Scantling, he details the event on April 21 and his excitement to see fans.
“Wichita! I’m coming to you! April 21st to host the Wichita Sky Kings basketball game. Meet me before the game, get some signatures, and let’s watch some basketball on April 21st! Doors open at 6 PM at Charles Koch Arena in Wichita, Kansas!”

Valdes-Scantling finished the 2022 season with 42 catches for 687 yards and two touchdowns. He finished sixth in the league with 16.5 yards per catch. In the AFC Championship Game, Valdes-Scantling caught six passes for 111 yards and a touchdown helping to defeat the Cincinnati Bengals 23-20.
Entering his second season of a three-year deal signed last spring, Valdes-Scantling will be surrounded by plenty of young talent in the receivers room. The departure of JuJu Smith-Schuster in free agency could lead to a more prominent role for Valdes-Scantling.
