The Kansas City Chiefs are holding their training camp for the upcoming 2020 season at Arrowhead Stadium.

The Kansas City Chiefs are holding their training camp for the upcoming 2020 season at Arrowhead Stadium. According to a recent report from ESPN’s Adam Schefter, the NFL has told teams they must hold summer training camp at their local home facilities.

The Chiefs had agreed to terms on a three-year deal back in February, securing training camp in St. Joseph, Missouri. through 2022. The agreement included an option to extend the partnership for an additional two years. Due to the COVID-19 pandemic creating local restrictions around the country, the Chiefs are forced to stay at their own facility this summer.

Fans are not expected to be invited to the camp over health concerns as the NFL continues to monitor the situation. The league mandating all teams to hold camps locally is to avoid any unfair advantage for teams in preparation for the new season.

The Chiefs have held training camp at Missouri Western State for the past ten years. Kansas City is one of the last remaining NFL teams that go away from team facilities for training camp.
