Chiefs release updated depth chart for Week 13

The latest depth chart reflecting all of the Kansas City Chiefs’ recent roster moves.

The Kansas City Chiefs released their depth chart for Week 13 of the 2019 regular season. This depth chart reflects a change to the roster that occurred ahead of Week 11 and another change that occurred leading up to Week 13.

Generally speaking, these depth charts give you an idea of where a player is in the pecking order. They’re considered unofficial because they’re assembled by the team’s PR staff and not the coaching staff. Some things may not accurately reflect what happens on game day because of that. However, the PR staff does have access to the teams’ closed practices and wouldn’t purposely mislead with the depth chart.

Let’s take a look at this depth chart and see what we can learn.

Observations:

  • The Kansas City Chiefs added Gehrig Dieter to the 53-man roster ahead of the Week 11 matchup with the Los Angeles Chargers. Since he was added over the weekend the team had already released the depth chart and the change wasn’t yet reflected.
  • Dieter is a third-string receiver behind Sammy Watkins and Mecole Hardman. His contributions on special teams will be most-felt unless there is an injury that thrusts him into action on offense.
