When Patrick Mahomes hit an inside-the-park homerun at the Big Slick KC charity softball game, Marquez Valdes-Scantling said that he better see the same type of performance from QB1 at his charity softball game.

Mahomes did him one better.

The star quarterback got things started by winning the home run derby at his teammates’ first annual charity softball match on Friday at Legends Field. He was hitting balls out of the fence in left field, well beyond the makeshift fence that was put up for the softball game. He even demonstrated ability as a switch hitter, with a homer as a lefty batter.

Then came the actual charity softball game, with team offense facing team defense. Mahomes saved his best for last, waiting for the bases to get loaded up before hitting a grand slam in front of the crowd of Chiefs Kingdom faithful. KCTV5’s Jared Koller shared some videos from both the home run derby and the grand slam on Twitter, which you can view at the top of the page.

Mahomes certainly delivered for Valdes-Scantling and put on a show, leaving his teammates and the crowd in awe with many of them wondering if there’s anything he can’t do.
