Chiefs QB Patrick Mahomes’ foundation to provide 15 scholarships to children of U.S. Navy SEALs

15 and the Mahomies foundation announced their pledge to The Honored SEAL Legacy Scholarship Program on Memorial Day.

On Memorial Day, Kansas City Chiefs QB Patrick Mahomes has sought to change the lives of 15 military families forever.

15 and the Mahomies announced that they’ll be making a contribution to The Honored SEAL Legacy Scholarship Program. The program awards scholarships annually to children of U.S. Navy SEALs for a variety of different academics such as vocational programs, associate’s degrees and bachelor’s degrees. Mahomes and his foundation have pledged 15 scholarships to the program, which will be awarded to families of fallen U.S. Navy SEALs.

“It is truly a privilege to support the children of the Navy SEALs through the Honored SEAL Legacy Foundation Scholarship Program,” Mahomes said in the press release. “The 15 and the Mahomies Foundation and I, are committed to the SEAL Creed that no one will be left behind.”

15 and the Mahomies sought to honor the sacrifice that many SEALs have made and continue to make, in observance of Memorial Day. This contribution will also be part of their 15 for 15 Initiative which supports 15 youth charitable initiatives that focus on academics, science, the arts, athletics and more.

“On behalf of a grateful brotherhood, we thank Patrick Mahomes for his leadership,” SEAL Legacy Foundation Managing Director and United States Navy SEAL Mark McGinnis said in the press release. “These scholarships from 15 and the Mahomies will make a meaningful difference for the children of our SEALs.”
